I first read the one and only Ivan and I loved it so I decided to try this book and so far it is amazing

The book is amazing but pulled on my heart strings hard. It’s a wonderful addition to the series.

Loveable, heartwarming sequel to the One and Only Ivan

started this one to the kids after finishing Ivan’s story. so far it’s pretty slow paced and the kids aren’t near as interested as they were for Ivan. it seems to be picking up in the story though so fingers crossed it brings them back in !!

Okay, I was wrong, this one is interesting too. Just took a little longer for me to get into it.

I'm finding this one less enjoyable than the first one tbh

Bob is hilarious. Perfect for my 3rd graders 😆

It’s starting a bit more sad then the first book. Bobs life as a puppy is depressing.

I love how Bob is developing as a character. His moral code is being challenged every page as he and the animals face the storm and he is putting himself to the test. Bob carries a lot of self doubt as he goes through the challenges, but I’m hoping he starts looking at himself more positively because I think everyone is their own worst enemy. However, it’s usually unwarranted.

Super good so far, just started it so I’m not there just yet but it’s really good so far!

My class demanded we read the 2nd book! And you better bet I’m counting every book I read towards my goodreads goal🤪

The emotions and tone of this book is so completely different than The One and Only Ivan. Of course because Bob is more of a tough guy and funny guy. I love Katherine Applegate’s ability to connect the reader to her characters in the first sentence! I’m already dreading finishing this series and we’re only on book 2.

I'm not sure why I wasn't anticipating the subject of dog abuse to be touched after reading Ivan's book. But here it is, hopefully the ending is good and everyone's safe. Going to keep going with lots of breaks. lol
