i know these essays are *about* lesbianism and queerness within pop culture but it's just screaming of white millennial suburban lady who can only explain and experience things through the lens of fandom and i'm sooooo bored! also she keeps references comedy and being funny and she simply isn't. it's all so surface level it's beginning to piss me off

not really a fan of the millennial tone of this i think i just don't like the writer's voice. i'm curious how deep she will get into these topics though or if it will be surface level personal anecdotes w boring white twitter swiftie humour the whole time...
