Status Updates From Clouds

Unfortunate error regarding rainbow formation; the light is reflected from the rain drops internally, not externally.

Dare I suggest that the descriptions in this book are as - fluffy - as a cumulus cloud? There's some simple explanation of the formation and appearance of each type but it's really about the pictures, which are excellent. There's an appendix where a more technical discussion can be found.

Cumulus clouds have greater variety than I was aware of previously: sub-species include Mediocris and Humilis.

At some point in my life I must have decided clouds were fun/interesting/beautiful since I have THREE books about them...years later I have actually started reading one of them.

Photographically a better book,and looking forward to understanding weather and cloud formation a bit more
