Delightful as always though reaching for such a childhood bedtime story deep cut has made me unfortunately aware that I’m starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel for “books I can read that are good enough to not irritate me but not so gripping I can’t fall asleep after”. Unfortunately, bedtime reading is all I have in my foreseeable future still so time to go fishing for some new recs.
