this was interesting but was in a reading slump honestly so couldnt finsh it on time 😭

oh i'm so hooked

So far so good. Learning about Ansel- on death row, seems to be the main character who is a sociopath/psychopath. Don’t know what he is accused of but am eager to see where the narrative goes. All of Lavender’s story seems to have been covered, tragic but admittedly understandable what she did for Ansel and Baby Packer. Interested to see what’s to come.

forget what i said about wanting to dnf this. it started out so boring but now i cannot put it down. all but the first twenty-ish pages are just from this afternoon

This book is menacingly beautiful

The night was an open sore. The heart was an organ that beat on and on. The trees creaked their unanimous sorrow.

Starting this one from the beginning. I soft dnf’d 16% in last time it looks like. Might have just been because of the library hold.

I think the idea of this book is good and the writing is amazing but maybe it’s cause I’m on the beach and I want a silly little rom com but it’s really not hitting for me

A girl would be more vulnerable and also more cavernous. Imagine, Lila seemed to say, from the depths of Saffy’s subconscious. There were so many things a girl could be.

Don't ask me why - I don't think there's much of an overlap except there's a crime to be solved - but now I really want to watch Twin Peaks. And maybe rewatch True Detective.

This is so goooooooood. I just want to keep on reading it, aughhh.
