Dear oh dear. this is getting monotonous - typos, continuity errors. I had been uncomfortable with the phrase "coffee coloured skin" to describe Harry - an Indian man in nearly every book but very jarring in 2021 (and classed as offensive) is the phrase "coloured" when referring to afro-carribean men...
I will finish the series being this far through but after a brief pickup, it's getting harder and harder to read.

Doesn't give you much hope when amazon state that the book contains quality issues which have been reported to the author.
Started with the usual pattern.
1. Body found (usually on Clapham Common)
2. Victim is either related to or has a connection with someone in power.
Next steps usually Arla told not to question family , she does anyway, boss threatens to remove her, she carries on and solves crime...we will see

A simply fabulous story...More than a police procedural, as Detective Arla Baker takes on a murder case that the investigation leads to some well-known families, with money and status...Giving her bosses the need to try to keep said families happy, and Arla away from them! But we are all human, and hopefully all can learn from our mistakes...
