Status Updates From Still Life

I don't know if I am going to be able finish this book. I'm listening to the audiobook and yes, it is very well read. Voice acting is awesome! But I am totally lost. I have no idea what is going on in the big picture. There is so much detail about all the small things that I can't figure out what is important. Should I finish??
