Having the book narrated by John Darnielle himself was the right choice. I could listen to that man talk all day. It’s really neat to see how his songwriting skills carry over into just plain writing. His description of the high school boys in the abandoned porno shop reminded me so much of being young and finding my own places to call my own around the neighborhood. Time flies
