I wasn’t expecting Peretur to become so ruthless. Yes, she can feel the bandits souls or something, but she’s doing it because a random knight said they were an issue, for a king she doesn’t know. Excited about Nimuë. Lesbians?

The writing is slightly better, mostly using the active voice, although still sometimes dipping into the passive voice but now seeming more intentional.

I had high hopes for this, and have felt frustrated or let down, so far at least, by the writing style. It's written in a passive voice giving the feeling of being out of time. This might be argued to be justified for a myth, but also there is no presence. I hope it gets better...

first 20 pages were slow due to the complete lack of dialogue and obscure nature terminology.
i’m really excited about this. i love the fantasy aspects, and somehow i missed the lesbian mention on the jacket cover so another good surprise. It’ll be interesting to see peretur out of her depth for the first time once she gets to more urban(?) areas
