The person in italics kind of scares me. I'm not a fan of Emmy or Dan, but the Gran in italics has some crazy thoughts about them. But more about their children.

Getting interesting

This is far from thrilling and almost painful to read at times. Sadly, I’m just ready for this to be over.

Up to ch16. Finally, her husband is doing something to move things on.

Up to ch14. With this use of her friend’s darkest moments to get the BBC show, our main character has crossed a line. This is wrong on so many levels.

Up to ch10. These references to what she has planned and what she’s done offer some potential, but these characters all seem rather caricature-like. Little to identify with.

Bitter mother seems to behind the odd things happening. Still find it weird that people live like this.

Literally 100 pages in and I'm bored as hell... Yet, I feel like I need to see how it ends since its almost over already being 280 pages long...

It reminds me of “You” except you don’t know who is stalking her, but the stalker had some narration in the book. It is starting to peak my interest!

Up to ch5. This is all so calculated and fake. Every act an opportunity to increase traffic. Don’t see the appeal.

Up to ch3. Instagram influencer...focused on her ‘job’ as mother of two small children. All fake and carefully manipulated. Intrigued by this mystery person who’s got a vendetta against her.

DNF sadly, i hate not finishing books even if they’re bad /: i’m 122 pages in and i am so bored of this, oh my god it’s like banging my head against a wall. if i wanted to read half a book solely about a mom instagrammed id just go to acacia kerseys instagram.

they go to do a menstruation based podcast with this woman and this section has some light transphobia, essentially equating menstruation with women & women only. just a heads up.

Emmy and Dan are about to have the talk about what happened at the Mall.

Really enjoying the book! I like seeing things from perspectives of Emmy, Dan & the mystery character. It keeps the story interesting and puts me in the headspace of why things are happening in the way that they are.

Dan and Emmy seem to be good parents. Always doing their best for their children. The more I read, the more I wonder who the person is in italics. And why are they so fixated on Emmy. Coco just almost got kidnapped, but thankfully didn't. Something strange is going on.
