Status Updates From The Sword and the Circle: K...

It was now time for Gwaine to return to King Arthur's court where finally he had earned his place in the brotherhood of the Round Table.

The same thing happens one more times instead its 3 kisses, and now they have dinner its almost time for Gwaine to leave to see The Green Knight. Gwaine finally reaches the castle of The Green Knight there is a small fight to nearly cut off Gwaine's head but he moves to miss the blow. It happens 2 more times, but he still lives they both come to agree that this is now over and it is finished.

Gwaine stayed awhile with a Knight and his lady but now his quest was calling him back to the road he needed to find this Green Chapel by noon of New Year's Day. It's funny how the lord of the house is exchanging things with Gwaine when he comes in from hunting he gives him some of his spoils from the hunt. Then Gwaine gives him what he got kisses from the lady of the house 1 one day and 2 the next.It's funny to me.

The body parts with the head as it goes rolling away. Mysteriously the body of The Green Knight gets up and goes after his head and picks it up. So shocking.The Knight wants Gwaine to meet him again a year and a day from now in Wales in the Wirrel Forest. Gwaine was now heading out on his quest.

What a scene enter in The Green Knight who is decorated with green Down to his horse, who wants to battle against one of King Arthur's knights none perk up he doesn't feel any are worthy or if its even the famous Knights of King Arthur's Round Table. Gwaine one of the biggest knights says he would. The Green Knight wants him to are him anywhere of his choosing he goes for the head.

Now he makes his way back to King Arthur's court where he is recognized as they had heard of his mighty deeds and Guenevere tells him he has proven himself even at a young age after a year being on his quest.

He ended up seeing the miracle he's been praying for the miracle of what the sword did. It's almost like something told him to do it. There was a wounded man at the castle who was bleeding, and he placed the sword across it . It cleared up and sealed itself what was it about the sword.

Lancelot comes upon a church chapel and finds there are more than 30 knights in black armor standing guard he didn't know what to do if they all came against him. They never did he goes in and sees the body of Sir Gilbert and takes the sword that lays there. They tell him not to take it that he would fight them for it. He ends up walking out with it. He wasn't followed.

Sir Lancelot was staying in a nearby castle for the night when he heard clashing outside his windows and he saw 3 knights fighting against one he wouldn't stand for it but he got his sheets and tied them together to lower himself down it turns out he knew this knight after he stopped the fight it was Sir Kay they were fighting with.Time passed on and now he was onto a new adventure.

They fought hard for hours until exhausted Tarquine was quite impressed by him he was going to free the knights in his hold. He said he would fight Lancelot before he knew who he was now because he slew his brother Sir Carrados. Now it was a fight to the death. It never came but finally all the knights were free and Lancelot was in search of more adventure.

He escapes with her help into the forest. Lancelot fought in the tournament, and the king was victorious. The maiden couldn't go back to Morgan being a servant it wouldn't end well for her as she helped Lancelot escape. Lancelot goes in search of his cousin and finds their shields hanging from a tree and finds Sir Tarquine on the biggest horse he had ever seen.

Morgan Le Fay and her ladies somehow find Lancelot and place him under a sleeping spell and bring him to her castle to take captive. One of the servant maidens at the castle agrees to help Lancelot escape if he fights in a tournament her father king Bagdemagus set up of many knights. He agrees to fight. She keeps her promise but before she had to drug the guards with wine that makes them sleep.

Lancelot is made one of King Arthur's knights along with his cousin Lional. Arthur let him go on a quest with Lional. Sir Ector Lancelot's half-brother leaves to go find his brother and Lional and finds where he may be as he finds Lional's shield hanging from a tree with many others and is upset. He finds himself in pursuit of a joust. Ector also gets stripped of his shield and beaten and goes to where Lional was.

By this time, Sir Accalon is passed away from his injuries. Morgan then is supposedly listening to some bad spirits from hell supposedly tempted her that tell her to kill. Uwaine her son steps in when Morgan tells her servant to go get the king's sword he stops it before it happens. She then goes to see her brother and finds him asleep she takes his sheath that has powers but can't manage to take the sword.

His own sister Morgan Le Fay as Sir Accalon fight Arthur but they have no idea who each of them is at first and Arthur notices something this sword this knight is using is doing a lot of damage. He recognizes this sword as EXCALIBUR. The knight says he got it from Morgan Le Fay. The knight tells him that he is one of King Arthur's knights. Arthur then tells him after the damage done he is his king. He then feels bad.

So much happens all at once it was time for Merlin to go away as he said, and he had the lady of the lake Nimue to place him under the great tree under a very deep enchanting sleep. Lancelot was also to be taken to be trained to be a knight but once christened as Galahad. King Arthur also came upon some knights who had been locked away in a ship. He had to agree to fight single hand combat.

There are 3 quests given by Arthur that start so fast it just takes off so much goes on a few deaths knights killed some that survive. King Pellinore things go wrong, but he succeeded. Gwain he had to carry the body of a dead woman who was slain on accident by his own hand because he was supposed to kill someone else. Lastly the Quest of the white Hart and brachet and of Nimue the lake lady. Now Merlin was leaving.

So much went on in this chapter, but going to make it short. Arthur and Guinevere get married after seeing each other at Camelaird she was King Leodegraunce's daughter. He was happy that Arthur wanted her for his queen. Merlin brought her back to Camelot for the wedding along with her ladies. The Round Table is also brought along with the chairs of all the names of the knights...

He had a new sword for him "EXCALIBUR" given to him by the lady of the lake as she then disappeared below the lake leaving no trace. Excalibur would help him not to lose one drop of blood Merlin told him, this sword was special. This is where it begins.

Just when the king tries to end him, Merlin appears and tells him if he tries to kill him, it would be an awful death for him that this knight he was battling was King Arthur. He then bowed down by Merlin's magic, and he fell asleep for hours. He would come in contact with him again, Merlin said. Merlin helps him up and brings him to the forest. The sword he had was broken. That was the past...

There is a lot going on in this chapter it feels like a transition chapter. Arthur finding out he is a father by sleeping with Morgause his half sister and the baby being the famous Mordrid. Arthur trying to get this out of his head for now sends his new young knight to King Pellinore to battle and ends up wounded. It's then that Arthur goes to battle him...

Arthur is then crowned, and Sir Ector, his stepfather, bows to him along with his stepbrother Kay. He feels unworthy to be king, but it's his destiny. He then makes a speech that he would protect Britain with his people believing in him by his side. Such a great chapter. It shows how humble Arthur is.

He thinks nothing of it a big commotion is made when Kay sees its not his sword and asks Arthur where it came from he tells him and he tells Sir Ector his dad. They go back to the church yard and put it back to see if its possible to pull it and it stays in the stone till again Arthur pulls it with ease. Merlin is then mentioned that he did it when he says that its God's will. That he was the son of King Utha.

This book just keeps getting better and better. The story of the Sword in the Stone. I really like how you can see it all as it happens. The beginning Kay, Arthur's stepbrother, needs his sword for the tournament, and he doesn't have it with him mysteriously. Arthur goes to see if he can go and get it when it's behind doors that are locked. He then remembers seeing a sword in a stone in the church yard and pulls it.

Man, I'm lovin this I been needing to start this book for a while. The start is interesting with the history that goes back with the battle of the Red and White Dragons, one being England and the other The Saxons. The enchantment that disguised Uther's character to be the Duke to conceive Arthur and him then being born at Christmas and given to Merlin, who is also disguised and comes on the day he prophesied.
