The next day Mosscap and Dex started hiking, because they needed something for the wagon. During the walk Dex walked and asked do you come from factories. Mosscap laughed and responded with a joke but Dex didn't laugh, he was actually curios and wanted to know. After that Mosscap told that he was Wild-built from parts of dead robots. I'm exited where this trip leads and what's going to happen next on the story.

I learned that Mosscap was not built in a factory, but is "wild built". I find it interesting that the author doesn't explain what wild built means, but I think Chambers does this so readers have to imagine it for themselves. I consider human reproduction wild built because humans sometimes reproduce on accident, causing people to go through wild times in their lives. So, this is a way for humans to relate to robots.

After reading further into this novel, here are my thoughts. Firstly, I am happy for Dex as they have somone who they can comunicate with during their journey. I am confused about why the blood in Dex glowed in the dark. I am curious to know more about whether Dex is going to abandon their mission or continue. Lastly, I am happy for both because they learn more and more things as they talk to each other every day.

In chapter 5, the book writes that every single individual piece of Mosscap was passed down from another robot and now work togetherin harmony. When i read this thought it might be symbolizing that all we do and how we look and act and talk is passed down from our ancestors. And from that we must choose what helps us for the better and what doesn't and not use that. In this case bieng screws, motors, panels, etc.
