Ch 1 picks up literally moments after book 1 ended...only for ch2 to get a 2 month time jump. This time jump def needed to come in book 1 - so that I would actually believe how fast the relationships develops, or come between book 1 and 2. There have been some interesting reveals that make the story interesting, and now with the relationships established I find things more believable.
