I agree with other reviewers about the Walt Heyer sections of the book. While his life is antithetical to anything that could resemble a trans experience, the detailed chronicle of his life is there to show him for who he is and who he is not - a troubled individual whose decisions do not reflect the vast majority of trans people. And I skipped some of his chapters when I didn’t think I needed more detail.
