This book is the definition of a 2.5. Perfectly forgettable. I might round down, both because the writing is so pedestrian (except for when the title “Dream Storm” arrives, which does have K.A.’s voice) and because the storm is such a letdown. Once again, we have something capable of creating ANYTHING you can imagine, and what the book offers is so small and boring. This series continues to disappoint.

It's weird that with all the things I've forgotten about the series, for some reason I remembered Alpha Colony. Maybe I was just so happy to be following a different set of characters?

Seems like the storm is just starting to pick up... I would have thought all the weird lucid dreams were because of that member of the Troika, but the Troika is nowhere near the Remnants now... that we know of, that is. I wonder if we'll see them and that group ever again? I hope so, considering that has to be Tate on a later cover...

So almost every single driving plot element behind the first ten books has been completely abandoned, and the story almost totally started anew. I knew this series was infamous for plotholes and unsolved mysteries, but the lack of continuity here is astounding. It's really not that bad apart from that, but it's just frustrating to me how little effort was put into it.
