this was not as uplifting as i expected lol. i hope this isn’t one bad incident after another for Marya :/ it’s a bit discouraging

Going well so far. Started slowly but picking up now! I like the immersive world and Marya as a character.

This book is helping put me out of a reading slump :)

Great so far. Not a ton of action but there is a suspenseful feeling behind every scene, very engaging.

She just made it to the school and ekk I cant wait to read more! I at first thought she would have magic powers but i really dont think that at all anymore. I am so sad she had to leave the tapestry maker person who taught her how to read though

Its really interesting! The world is a little confusing but thats just like all fantasy books at the beginning. Its super cool though and I love the aesthetic. My first theroy was that she was going to have magical powers instead of her brother but i dont really know anymore
