Seriously, did this story just have Ron reconnect with Padma and build a healthy relationship just so he can ruin it and be awful to her all over again?? I am not pleased with where this seems to be going...

"Well, when it's the right person, I don't think you'll have any doubts," Kevin says sagely. I tell him it's unlike him to be so wise, and he shrugs. "Well, I also charmed your shoelaces to trip you," he says, just as I take a step and stumble clumsily to the ground.

I will goddamn riot if Ron breaks up with Padma.

Luckily my afternoon panic takes me almost to the end of the day.

My stress-reading safely got me through most of this monstrously long fic in just a few days...
It is a good stuff...

Really appreciated Narcissa's chapter this time around. I really liked that it focuses on the fact that you don't have to be the one wielding the weapon to be (partially) guilty. She is on a journey! Also, her with Bill is a ship I didn't see anywhere else, but it surprisingly really works?! At least with this rendition of their characters...

I think this might be controversial opinion, but I LOVE reading FF about Cormac McLaggen - I mean, when it's done with nuance. This fic doesn't really go into some of the darker corners but it definitely characterizes him faithfully without doing him dirty (like a certain series). I'm really looking forward to his chapter. This one had a bit too much Bill in it for my taste...

Fleur is such amazingly written character in this fic. Like, at the beginning I wasn't really on board but by the end of her chapter, I was just rooting for her with everything I had. Dragons might have something to do with it...

I am generally fan of Luna/Charlie ship, but not convinced here quite yet. I think it's... seeing Luna through Charlies eyes wasn't... I wasn't feeling the connection.

The polycule chapters were actually the reason why I picked up this fic again, so it was pretty exciting to start on them! 🤭

I'm curious how it will hold up. I have to say that Flint/Wood isn't my ship of choice, there is always at least a hint of toxicity and that's true here too (the physical violence just seems wrong to me), but the pining was so great that I'm almost converted.

And finally, we have a lesbian! So clearly, not all queer people are bi, only like 90%

I feel like you can tell that a straight person wrote this, if you know what I mean? (Not that I know for certain.) But it's still pretty good, this FF is just so utterly bonkers that makes it amazing stress-read. And each chapter being a different narrator makes it easier to stop reading, which means I still get some sleep.

Okay, absolutely loving the Andromeda/George ship. The first time around I thought there was no way to convince me, but they absolutely became one of my favourite ships in this. It is a great combination of hilarious and tragic, which we all know I'm a sucker for...

I previously wasn't into the Blaise/Neville ship and I have to say that I'm still not. I adore Blaise's narration though. I'm also absolutely gobsmacked how many bisexual characters there are?! Like I completely forgot about that... My most pressing question right now, is: is Neville bi or gay?

And Percy is apparently neurodivergent-coded as well. If in a bit different way. I’m having such a great time with this!

WTF, I just found out that GR apparently thinks that olivieblake and Olivie Blake - the author of Atlas Six etc. are THE SAME PERSON?!?!
WTF, this world is small... is this true? If so, I guess I should really prioritize reading The Atlas Six which was close to the bottom of my tbr until now...

On this re-read I realised that Olivie Blake writes Hermione as neurodivergent and I'm SO into that! And also as actually nerdy...

It's weird convergence of sex and academia, and I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I like it so much. Why hasn't anyone explained it to me like this before? I listen, study his voice like there's an exam at the end. And I suppose, in a way, there is.

OMG, I just thought this fic was big enough to be on GR and it is!

I used to be a big FF reader, but didn't read much of it last year and a half. Recently I got into it again a bit and realised how much I missed it.

Also, since this is a HP fanfic, clearly Rowling is a TERF and I'm so glad for my ability to compartmentalize and enjoy HP FF again. Unlike the original material...

She looks me dead in the eye. "Shattered it," she says.

What do I do when I should be finishing up two other books with plenty of others in my TBR? Read trashy fanfic, of course. I am the worst.
