Super diff vibe and writing style from Annihilation, still interesting but in more of a “hmm curious” way and less of a “what the actual hell is happening I feel deep unease and I don’t know why” way

This has, sadly, been a little bit of a slog for me. I’m reserving judgment, but this definitely did not have the same titillating grip the first book had me in at page 1.
