The women are frantic what will happen once the father/husband discovers Eugenie has given her gold to the shifty cousin Charles. 65 more pages to read (2,7 days @ 25 pg per day). Not rushing it,,,enjoying the financial schemes and the love sick Eugenie.

Balzac es demasiado descriptivo a veces y se le olvida que está contando una historia y cuando retoma solo cuenta como dos pedacitos de la escena sin entrar en más detalle.

Mr. Grandet es horrible como persona, pero muy bueno como personaje. Quiero ver sobre todo qué va a ser de Adolphe y Charles. Eugénie es muy x.
