They really could have left out this conclusion. I can't stand all this nonsense about how "true" software masters have yet to be revealed because of how unique, undescribable, and new an art software development is. Best practices are so poorly documented / understood because our field places so little emphasis on developing good communication skills and critical thinking.

I generally find Software Craftsmanship™ books kinda dry and centered on programmers from a different generation / background. BUT! things I appreciate about this book so far:
- written by a family therapist turned software developer
- It's formatted as a hypertext! Embedded links encourage you to jump around to different "recipes" (e.g. Expose your ignorance). Note to self: technical blogging in Twine next time
