Charcoal Tears was my first ever JW read, and I claimed it as my favorite book ever for years. So many re-reads, so much inspiration.

If it hadn’t been for my discovery of this author, there’s a chance I wouldn’t have ever become an author myself.

Reading her work now feels like an out-of-body experience.

Is it ok that I like that I’m confused on where this is going? Like at least it’s not super predictable 😅

Kind of surprised how different this is in terms of writing style compared to Ironside. Where Ironside was more character and relationship driven, this is more plot and world building driven. It’s not a bad thing, just surprised at Washington’s range.

This reminds alot of Jane’s Curse of Gods series, but a little darker. I’m interested to see where this goes. Hoping the pace picks up a little tho.
