I have a lot of idiosyncrasies that can take me out of the story: One of them is when a word used in the book does not yet exist in the period of time the said book describes. In this case it’s “galumphing”. The story is set in Regency England (I think it’s either 1821 or 1822, because the previous book was in 1821). Yet Lewis Carrol coined this word in 1871.

I hope one of the next books covers Olivia and Peregrine’s story 😅

This has definitely grown on me. Love me a road trip caper!

The whole clumsiness/running into each other shtick is rather farcical and growing a bit tiresome.
