I’m researching more into partition history for a personal post-grad project. This book made me realize that I want to try to think in Urdu instead of English this year because I’m so tired of my same old western lexicon, I hate that year by year I speak Urdu’s less and less. I don’t want to lose the little connection I have with my Pakistani identity. I want some sort of division between my anglicized self.

This is scary shit. Is anywhere safe from fascism these days?
