Finished the poem now onto the commentary. Buddy rips right out of the gate: “We can visualize John Shade in his early boy-hood, a physically unattractive but otherwise beautifully developed lad.” Way to speak ill of the dead Mr. Kinbote!

Also noticed that since it’s a 999 line poem, the rhyme scheme is uneven. Need a word that rhymes with lane
