Loving the occassional letters from Emma Jung in this. And the continual worry of Jung's that Freud won't like his foray into mythology, etc. and Freud telling him it's okay, but with reservation.

So interesting. I might pause this until Winter Break as well.

So interesting. Somewhat painful to see the way Jung walks a delicate line between his personal perspectives and Freud's ego, but really wonderful. Feels very much like a toxic, enmeshed kind of projection that they were both pointing toward each other early on. I didn't know it was Jung who somewhat put Freud on the map.

Thus far I find this contribution to the correspondence between Freud and Jung to be an absolutely indispensable asset to studying their work. It gives you a really close look at their relationship and many of the struggles that they both faced along their journey.
