Everybody in this book is mentally ill. That's NOT a joke or exaggeration. Ellie isn't the only one who needs to be seeing a therapist! Actually, forget therapist, I want to shove her mom in a psych ward where this lunatic clearly belongs, bitchslap her siblings until they cry, yell at her dad to growing a fucking spine, and then hold this precious young lady while I dry every tear she has ever cried.

These girls are so mean to the main character and it makes me sad. Just because someone is different than you doesn’t mean that you need to make fun of them! I feel I picked this up pretty quickly and it baffles me that people just don’t get it! Treat others the way you wanna retreated. It is the golden rule for a reason! It is so hard to see her get treated so disrespectfully.
