Throne of Glass is the first book of the series of 8. I am currently on the second book. Celaena an assassin that was caught and held prisoner in a salt mine. She was chosen to challenge others to see if she could become the Kings Champion. This definitely a slow book compared to the other series by Sarah J Mass. I was hoping for more fantasy in the first book but it seems more political driven.
