This book has gone down to 1 star in my mind. It’s awful - terrible writing, questionable spiritual lessons, very out of touch w reality, mentions the birth of his daughter once and never again which I find bizarre

Just talks about buying lots of land and building a software company and money and how he overworks his employees that also live on his land (work life balance who?) but nah it’s ok cos #yoga 🙄

I see the appeal of surrendering to life but rn it feels like he’s surrendering to what other people want from him. for him, that leads to status, power, and opportunity. i dont think this philosophy works the same way for ppl with less privilege. for ex, for women, surrendering to what others want can quickly put us in danger. there’s value in surrender, but without discernment, its not universally applicable.
