Status Updates From Sir Gawain and the Green Kn...

The story, in my opinion, demonstrates how nobody is perfect even when they are expected to be (Ideal Knight)
Sir Gawain demonstrates a fear of death as it approaches and a safe but deceitful solution appears (the green girdle).
The Green Knight however does not kill Sir Gawain and in my belief the girdle was not even magical but a test.

Part 3 focuses on the castle, ideal knight stereotype, and 3 day mutual exchange.
Part 4 focuses on him not being truthful, keeping the green girdle, barely being scraped, and returning home and being celebrated

Part 1 describes how the Green Knight barges in with his strange proposal and Sir Gawain bravely volunteers to save his court’s reputation.
Part 2 focuses on the passing seasons, his journey to the green chapel, battles with monsters to demonstrate him as heroic and knightly.

Another piece of literature read through British Lit. Only read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
Loved comparing it between Beowulf as it showed how not everyone has perfect courage or is perfect in general.
