Status Updates From Star Wars: The Last Command

In the last section, it struck me that Skywalker siblings were drawn well; Han not so much; Mara was hit and miss; Wedge+Karrde were recognizable. Story was less complicated, thus easier to follow (and more fun). Nice to have re-read this cycle, which as a comic series I'd award a heavy 3*. (Haven't checked what my former verdict was.) The bare plot+characters would garner a very meagre 4*, if I did such a thing.

But I tried2account4that possitive "support"/influence from books; believed it was absent@my understanding of comix! I always try2do that, & especially vividly remember it w/ this series--@least when writing initial review, which I typed up long after actual last reading of the comix. I hoped it'd help me w/own writing, 2analyse how/if authors' own pre-existing knowledge (not) instigates prose gaps4audience. Wrong?

During re-read of prev.volume (pt2) & this (pt3), am having serious trouble understanding several large jumps in narrative, perceiving 'em as outright gaps. This=total opposite of what I recall (& what I can glean from my initial review) from previous readings. Did I read novels 2 long ago, 4 me 2 fill in blanks--only now being able2understand/experience where comix fail in relating full/complete story?
