So many characters to keep up with. Wish she'd pare down the amount. At least this book isn't focused solely on the stuffed animals.

Has Nancy Atherton ever actually been a young mother? 3 month olds (or are they 4 months old?) don't eat baby food and they don't really play with toys either. I can believe that Lori is exhausted and the house isn't clean, but it wouldn't be strewn with toys until the twins are mobile.

I'm stunned that a whole novel is about a stolen pamphlet and fake archaeology site. I say again, thankfully Nancy's dialogue and people are balm soothing my soul. It'll have to step up for 5 stars. The journey is my highlight this time.

Hmm, the adventure is nothing major, life-changing, or sinister at all and I can't bear the guest child. A good thing I love Nancy's writing and usual characters.

I love it from the first page! I'm laughing uproariously from the twenty-first page!

I liked this story better than the last one. I felt sorry for Rainey. She was excluded from her family and that's a little sad. I'm glad she got a very special gift. Yay train man.
