Status Updates From The Case of the Reincarnate...

I found one more book in this series available as an audiobook on Hoopla. Loving this series where Vish Puri is “India’s most private investigator “ and his mom is the best! I want to meet her in real life.

I may get confused with Tarquin Hall's cultural references within his prose. But it is sentences like this that keep me reading :

Puri had to get out of the car across from SDA Main Market and dodge a maelstrom of vehicles swarming along the road like blood cells and viruses locked in battle.

Clever plotting and interesting views of Indian life.

My first time reading this series. Interesting view of life in Delhi: with all of the noise in the streets with the clamor of traffic, the visual impact of air pollution distorting well known landmarks, the grime left on skin after contact with smog.

Well, time to get back to modern India...

This is dragging and I don't like the main character Vish Puri. I still can't work out if the author has written him as purposefully-unlikable or not...
