still reading piecemeal and soooo slowly, but I just LOVE how the book does not entertain for even one tiny instant that the hero has any say in the heroine’s commitment to her cause and her work — “if you can’t stomach [her dangerous work for labor rights], then get out of her way” is a p refreshing take for a romance novel! or any novel!

Needed to switch gears and have been wanting to read this one since moving my library over to Goodreads. I've always been a huge fan of la belle epoque and art deco. From the synopsis, I was set to buy it if I hadn't received an copy through #Goodreads Giveaways. I LOVE finding new authors and watching as the develop. This one sounds promising. Stay tuned. Will start on it later today after a few more cups of coffee!
