I'm looking forward to this. So far so good.

I don't think I'm enjoying this. So far it's just depressing.

I am just feeling utterly sick at all of this abuse, and the unfairness of it all. For all 3 MCs.

“We jump overboard holding the gold.”

Aiden looked even paler. “Er, we’ll go straight down. I can only hold my breath for thirty-five seconds. I’ve timed myself, just in case I was ever asked to jump off a boat holding a shitload of gold.”

“Who was that?”

Pascal whispered. “My father.” Kaegan threw back the covers and climbed out of bed.

“Want us to pretend to be…not real?” Aiden asked.

Kaegan let out a long breath. “I’d rather he didn’t think I’d created two guys to have sex with.”

*heh* [Skiing fears..]

“And are you medically trained to re-attach severed limbs?” Aiden raised his eyebrows.

“That was covered on the second week of training.”

“I better get mouth-to-mouth if I stop breathing,” Aiden muttered. “Oh God, did I actually say that?”

“We did that in week one. Stop breathing and I’ll show you how good I am.” Pascal stepped closer.

He seemed to have a sixth sense about when it was time to go, and he’d leave the house more or less as he’d found it, minus the food he’d eaten. He even put the sheets and towels in the washing machine and switched on the dishwasher before he left until he realised the police were linking the break-ins, calling him the Courteous Burglar.

He’d even drawn the tiniest of creatures using a magnifying glass.

“Your passion shines in your work.” Kaegan gave the pad back to him. “Your sort-of boyfriend is not in there.”

“How do you know?” There were plenty of sketches of men but not one of James.

“I just know.”

“You’re right. He’s not in there.”

“But I am.”

Kaegan smiled. “Little fiery one. Oh you are perfect.”

“What does your name mean?”

“Big fiery one.” His grin brought one to Aiden’s face.
