So far so good. I'd like the back story to Wilde. But I've learned that info will be revealed in book #2, even though I thought this was a stand alone. Not!

I honestly kind of hate this book and yet I still want to find out what’s up. TBD if it’s just hating the characters and the weird presidential candidates parallels or if it’s the overwhelming amount of just unrealistic points. Probably both.

So far, every Harlan Coben book I’ve read is a page turner & hooks me from the beginning!

I loved that the viral video of Simone Greene & Aaron Corval from “Run Away” was mentioned in this book too. Felt like I was really “in the know” with Cobens’ novels.

A little too much dialog, but better than some parts describing obvious things. Like the three dots meaning someone is typing, it's set in 2020 who tf wouldn't know that?

Wilde passe la clôture et ramène Matthew du party. Les parents de Crash ont l’air de pas trop s’en préoccuper

Point de vue inverse, Matthew chez Crash Maynard et il se fait violenter à cause de la diffusion de la nouvelle de Naomi

Hester diffuse une photo pendant son émission à la grandeur du pays. La mère de Naomi ne l’a pas vue depuis longtemps. Naomi est adoptée.

Wilde sur la réserve indienne. Parrain de Matthew, Hester savait qu’il avait une liaison avec Laila. Il va aller interroger Ava OBrian prof

Oren chef de police. Hester émission comme avocate télé. Vont chez Naomi et elle serait partie chez sa mère. Hester et Tim (chauffeur?) s’en vont chez Wilde (garçon de la forêt)

Mamita = Hester, veuve de Ira mort d’une crise cardiaque. Laila c’est sa belle fille et Matthew son petit fils. Elle a déjà entendu son fils David parler tout seul dans la forêt et il lui a menti que c’était son ami imaginaire. Laila ne pleure pas devant eux mais elle l’a entendue crier seule dans sa chambre (pleurs)

Émission de radio avec quelqu'un qui dit que le client devrait être emprisonné. Matthew va voir sa grand-mère pour lui dire que Naomi a disparu.

Naomi disparait et Matthew veut savoir pourquoi (intimidation)

Not sure where this is going… interesting, but also feels like nothing has happened? Mixed feelings at the moment.
Also not sure I’m loving the narrator. But so bad I’d stop.
