Status Updates From Escape (Rebellion #1)

Hardly any character descriptions anywhere. I’m confused by some really poor decision making (by the MC’s) at the end that made nonsense of most of what got them to that point in the first place. What was the point then? Insta love and no proper romance either. One and done for me.

Overheard at the pub. Nah. I was suspicious then and after that little conversation I’m convinced. Best friends? Not anymore.

I’ve read 1%, or three pages in the last few days. Not the book. It’s me. I seem to have lost my brain. I think it went looking for my concentration which has been AWOL since October. 😩 Anyone mentions the menopause and they are dead to me. DEAD! 😂

That plan is going to go horribly wrong. Of course it is, there are two more books after this one.

Things have finally calmed down a bit. A good place to stop before I finish it tomorrow.

I've hit the climax point. This won't take long to finish with it being so hard to put down. 😰

This is growing more suspenseful by the chapter. I'm anxious to see what happens next...

I really like how this author writes. So far so good!

After the umpteenth hour spent making myself miserable and anxious reading the news, I tried to escape reality in a shifter book. I ended up with one set in an oppressive society, with nonexistent civil rights and shifters ruling humans with an iron fist, result of a war caused by the resentment of shifters abused by humans.

I'm officially accepting requests for personalized recs, since I'm so obviously good at it.

Rereading... because I can't remember too much about this. And I want to read book 2. 😅

Captivating! Mostly. For the right reader. Full world, interesting characters, definite intense conflict, but... the main shifter hero is just too sweet and noble and beta. Urrrgh. No rawr whatsoever. Conflict is also all couple against society too, which, while well done, doesn’t get my head or heart engaged.

I am already pretty disappointed in the world-building. Also not impressed with the main character.
