The pursuit of the answer to the “eel question” is a WICKED PROBLEM. If we sacrifice hundreds of eels to artificially produce nonviable/infertile eels, only for them to die in captivity before making it to the adult stage, what’s the point? If we leave them alone and their population continues to decrease, WHATS THE POINT? Stricter protections on habitat and regulations on harvest NEED to be put in place first
