I didn’t know I could stress-read, but this will be my fifth book in two days 🥶 At the rate we’re going, I may have my whole TBR read by the time they call this election...

“You think more people should be in threesomes instead of couples?”
“I think more people should do what’s best for them without worrying about what other folks think. I think we should let people alone, when they’re not hurting nobody. Don’t try to run their lives for them. Be glad they’ve got someone to love.”

“Lady on the left heard the shot but didn’t think much of it.”
“Right.” Gunshots were a regular enough occurrence even in town, from dumb kids letting off steam to guys potting raccoons getting into the trash.

I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to grasp the concept that random gunshots can be a normal thing – such a foreign world from my little bubble. I do like my bubble!
