Ich kann nicht mehr weiterlesen. Hab mich so durchgekämpft und mir fehlen noch immer 100 Seiten. Das Buch lies sich wie ein Zeitungsartikel. Einfach nur aneinander Reihungen von Geschehenissen, ohne Struktur, ohne Personen wirklich vorzustellen. Es gibt weder eine emotionale Bindung noch eine Spannung. Schade, weil die Story selbst sehr interessant sein könnte.

починалося так поетично, а тепер, ніби оповідь «ні про що»:-(

meh.. nu prea imi place

yea... this is not doing it for me. there's no plot and i don't like that. i love literally fiction, it's one of my favourite genre, but something's gotta happen! honestly, this book is getting me into a reading slump. it's beautiful written, which drew me in, but that's all. i've read 50 pages once and i never felt the need to pick it back up.

Pekne napisane, ale nerozumiem tomu hypu. Plus tomu chybaju akekolvek amocie, vacsina postav ich absolutne neprejavuje.

I really could get better at DNF-ing.

Toto si dávkujem a vychutnávam, je to krásna literatúra v pravom slova zmysle. Ľudská prostota a prostá ľudskosť sú tu v mozaikovom príbehu arménskej horskej dediny vyrozprávané zmesou folklórnych prvkov bez romantického nánosu, aj moderného sveta, ktorý k postavám preniká z doliny. S láskou pri čítaní spomínam na moje tri týždne v Arménsku a dobrých ľudí v Garni a Tateve.

Pros: stilul de a scrie este unul diferit, un back and forth constant intre personaje si intamplari.
Cons: tocmai acest back and forth care ma distrage, lipsa unui plot neobisnuit si a unei cronologii expuse clar. Simply not my kind of tea.

Middle section was better than the first. But the last section is once more just a bit dull.

This one is good

I want to like this but it’s just not grabbing me. There’s all sorts of action - famine, locusts, huge numbers of deaths, family dramas but for some reason it’s still a bit flat.
