just read half but it’s so well-written i have to pre-review here. i hated theories and long texts for so longggg. but this might be it. maybe i actually like and enjoy the questions? the tingling in my brain when things I’ve been thinking about finally been put into words? making me wonder, maybe, maybe, maybe… thanks for the book! we’ll talk about it, maybe. is this inside or outside? inout maybe

By the end of the third ch and the fourth chapter the book get me lost a bit. From technology to climate crisis the visual culture became a minor topic. A set of again interesting issues, külike gsm, google street view are focused too close to lose sight.

Thied chapter moves from New Yorker Obamas cover to Kardashian, Emma Sulkowicz, Tamara Lanier, agency and control, Dana Schultzç “pattern discrimination” “coded gaze” Algorithmic Justice League… tightly packed yet Whiteness is used to explain non Whiteness problematic…

By the third chapter, Boylan sustains a great read which is done by organization of chapters and surprising jumps from Kindkade to drag Ballroom scene, for example.
