Status Updates From The Twelve Dates of Christmas

Kate finally gets what she wants and she storms away before she gets answers to the questions she asks herself when she gets home. She could’ve stayed and asked him those questions. Come on!

Kate really can’t put two and two together, huh?

Ugh this is the problem with reading romance. The girls are so dramatic, “I love him and he doesn’t love me. I have to move away from friends and loved ones now.” It may be easy for me to say, as I’m not in that situation, but it truly does seem way too drastic. Is it the writing or are people truly like this?

Also, I liked Richard at first, but when Kate missed a bunch of his calls and texts, he was so cold when she finally called him. I’m not liking the “perturbed” side of him.

I didn’t originally feel a connection between Kate and Matt. Kate seemed to really think of him as just a friend until she went to trivia night with Sarah. Sarah seems to have disappeared from Matt’s life since then. Kate keeps asking where she is and she’s nowhere to be found. Now Kate has an outburst that she loves Matt? I don’t want to say it came from nowhere because obviously they have history.

I would have such a hard time focusing on my real life with all these dates going on! Kate is making truffles; boiling cream and cutting up chocolate. I feel like she’s playing it so cool! I don’t understand the timeline for these dates though. I don’t remember if mentioning how much time in the book until Christmas but the back says 23 days, but it seems like there’s several days in between dates.

It could be because I’m not reading in quick succession, but there are a lot of character names that pop up that I don’t remember, like Bella from The Knitting Sex Kittens. I don’t remember that name or that group. I’m gonna blame it on me, not the book for now. Though I do feel like a lot of names are introduced out of the blue...

Date #2 has me ROFL. Kate and Michael, a handsome man with dirty-blonde hair, made dinner together as a part of the dating site’s planned gathering As they’re eating, Kate makes a comment about them both being in their mid thirties and still being single, and Michael LOSES it. He’s crying in the middle of their meal and people are moving down the bench from them as he describes his failed previous relationship

Well.. gotta love being in the middle of a Christmas book on New Years.. so far it’s been a pretty fun read at least, so there’s that!

This is turning into an interesting but at the same time kinda boring book. There are a lot of things that I’m happy with and makes me excited to continue, but at the same time the writing is too descriptive for me and the main character is kinda annoying.

It's pretty obvious where this book is going, but I'm still going to finish it.

I'm pretty sure I know how this will end but it's been a fun and festive book to read!

I love the main character, Kate Turner. (which is the name of my best friend, but spelled Kait Turner)
No wonder I love this character. LOL!!

two dates to go!! I feel like I’ve been suspecting the ending since really early on in the book, but it’s regardless a dictionary definition romantic comedy and i’m enjoying the hallmark channel quality of it very very much

this is so much light fun. Keeping the christmas spirit going.

I can NOT get into this. So forced. And obvious and done before.

So far this isn’t keeping my attention, but I do love the setting and concept!

I never trust a man named Matt.

These chapters are way too long and the pace is way too slow.

This is just plain fun!

three more dates later and only one was a true dud... i’m thinking Kates a bit picky? or perhaps unable to see that the person she really wants is right in front of her? 🤫

Need to find more time to read. It’ll be next year by the time I finish 🤣

Good Christmas Day read
