Status Updates From How to Read a Novel

Caroline Gordon has excellent prose. Not too wordy, great clarity. ,So far I'm enjoying this more than her fiction.

I found this book to be very enjoyable. This was the first book I have read on literature/literary criticism and it was very eye opening. Gordon exposes aspects of the technical sophistication of novels that I had not considered before. She is fair in her critiques, and writes with great charm and humor.
