The opening novella is sweet, heartbreaking, and introduces an unconventional approach to police surveillance in fiction. It’s a miniature marvel.

Very strange. I'm not sure whether I'm enjoying the book, but I'm enjoying the experience of reading it enough to keep going.

I’ve read the first half and put the book down and forgotten it. I suppose I have learned enough for now. I know the second story ties into the first, bit for the time being it’s a dnf for me….
