The point of view throughout most of the book is usually 3rd person limited. I can tell because it describes what Brystal is doing and then also says her thoughts and describes what she feels for example it says "for the first time Brystal talked back to the voices in her head your wrong...". This shows how the point of view is 3rd person limited.

The protagonist is probably Brystal but currently it has been going back and forth from Lucy to Brystal ever since they parted at the cavern. while Lucy is at the raven crest school of witchcraft and Brystal is doing her duty and trying to relax a bit too they are both worried about each other and the righteous Brother hood and both trying to save the magic community.

I am on chapter five just finished chapter four reading that pip just left Brystal (the fairy godmother) to go to the school of witchcraft, pip was like a sister to her after that Brystal seemed really upset that she lost pip. what happened was that a witch came to the fairy territory to advertise her new school of witchcraft pip decided to go, Brystal then tried to stop pip from leaving but failed.
