okay this was on me but it only just occurred to me that the iron scale is like. a dragon scale. not like the scales of justice. this is also not the first time this has happened to me, see the incident in ~7th grade when we were reading the bronze bow and i could not understand why they were banging on about a 🎀 made of bronze, which sounded awful. but obviously. you know. 🏹
