Since my class only covered the first section of this, I'm finishing it by using it as an evening devotional. The sections are short enough for that to work really well!

Every Christian should study theology, and this book is fantastically accessible. I'm being reminded of how incredibly great and beyond describing our God is, and how small we tend to make Him in our worship. Reading about his transcendence, holiness, sovereignty, etc...all things that I have technically heard before but that I've never had laid out this crystal-clear for me, and it stirs me to such worship!

This book is so, so good. I haven't spent as much time reading theology as I wish, and so many books make it seem heavy or incomprehensible or boring. "We should never forget that in any case theology is for doxology: the truest expression of trust in a great God will always be worship, and it will always be proper worship to praise God for being far greater than we can know."

"Sinners choose Christ only because God chose them for this choice and moved them to t by renewing their hearts."
