Status Updates From Major Pieces: A Peltedverse...

Loved the story about Uuvek and Maia. The one about the chatcaavan kids is also enjoyable.

Another nice set on the throne world, this time about the worldlord and deputy east becoming Second and his Hand. Some beautiful character growth in this one.

Another novella, this one showing how things are changing on the throne world for the Emperor, the Queen Ransomed and Lisinthir. It’s nice to see how happy ever after starts out.

A novella about Jahir and Vasiht’h in the time after the war. It’s all about Vasiht’h and his family deciding to emigrate en mass to the Eldritch home world, so it’s a wonderful story.

This is the last bit from the Prince’s Game series and it gives us a wonderful and cathartic meeting between Sediryl and Jeasa. It is very satisfying to read after everything Sediryl went through in Girl on Fire.

Enjoyed Liolesa’s meeting with the Emperor and the Queen Ransomed, but I loved the section where Hirianthial met Lisinthir, Jahir and Vasiht’h! It was also very cathartic to see the part where Vasiht’h gets word that Sehvi and her family made it out alive. These segments add so much to the canon.

A nice bit of backstory for the Attendant and the Twelveworld Lord.

I love the hope in this story of the servant named Everdawn.

The restaurant bit is a fun way to get the bystander perspective on Jahir and Lisinthir.

This was a nice bit on Vasiht’h getting back to normal between novels. It’s good to have these little breaks.

Enjoyed the behind the scenes bit about Laniis Baker.

I love this bit showing Jahir and Vasiht’h on the other end of the communication with Lisinthir.

I enjoyed these bits about Lisinthir before he became the ambassador.
The small bit about Emerald becoming the Mother was a nice bit of backstory too.

It was wonderful to get a follow up scene to the events in Family. If this were added to that novella I do believe it would make it better. It finishes that tale is a happier place.

Starting a re-read of this series and the first two short stories in this volume come first in the timeline. Enjoyed them both!
