Well! Neat twist, but I did get half the whodunnit right and motivation. I like how the crimes in the first two books are foils to Mercy’s upbringing and innocent knowledge. An enjoyable read and easy to visualize.

A new character introduced: Mother. Mercy seems to be growing in her sleuthing chops and adapting to the LA scene. Yet she retains enough of the aspects of her upbringing to keep being different and intriguing. Enjoying this fun, light story even though it isn’t quite as good as book one. Whodunnit seems obvious almost from the get go.
