I AM doing my best to savor as much of this book, as well as "Valley of Shadows," by Steven Cooper, but both of these police procedural thrillers are making that VERY difficult.

Already halfway through "Chapter Fifteen: Person of Interest."

Needless to say, things have become a bit more complicated and awkward between Toby Wong and her client, Josh Barton.

I say nothing more.

I really did start this last year when they gave it to me but like I’m a horrible procrastinator. I’m getting it done now.

In the middle of "Chapter Thirteen: Paranormal Energy."

At the ready to begin reading "Chapter Thirteen: Paranormal Energy."

As a Witch, it makes sense that a Chapter Thirteen has that subtitle (smile).

At the last two pages of Chapter Eleven: Prime Suspect, and then on to Chapter Twelve: Mystery Package.

Truly, I love that Elka Ray has names for all her chapters, as opposed to the usual chapter, followed by number.

Soon enough, I shall begin reading "Chapter Ten: The Brother's Grim."

Did I mention I LOVE these chapter titles?!

Already in the middle of "Chapter Nine: On the Case."

I AM already looking forward to the second novel in this ongoing series of mysteries.

Already half-way through "Chapter Nine: On the Case," and already met Toby Wong's mother, Ivy.

I was impressed with the research Elka Ray did on the Sacred Tarot. The interpretations of the Major Arcana Cards listed in the chapter during which Ivy gives Toby and Toby's best friend, Quinn (or, Quinnie, as Toby calls her), were quite accurate in how they are usually interpreted. I was impressed.

Already at the beginning of Chapter Three: Fifty, Fifty. Coming along nicely now.
