Status Updates From A Worthy Wife

Red hair is over-represented in historical romance, but I really like that in this novel, it's the male lead who has auburn hair, not the female lead. The opening wedding scene is pretty darn funny, too. So much fainting!

A bit slow to start but is definitely having some humorous moments

The poor man was stuck with her, Aurora lamented, trying to keep the grin from her face. How sad.
The poor puss was stuck with him, Kenyon despaired, hurrying her into the hotel before he did a jig right there in the street. Too bad.

Talk about bad luck, the earl of Windham had married but one after another problem he couldn't finished to consume his wedding night .
Funny, witty and humorous plot. You'll love Aurora and her "good " intentions .

THis novel is almost a circus. Too much is going on to really focus on the love story. It is like a farce. Many things are resolved so quickly.

I thoroughly dislike Briane she is a lazy, spoiled, pretentious snob. It is hard to even read about her. She is not a caricature she feels real, just totally unlikable.

I thought this was an interesting premise, which it was but it is becoming a bit too farcical for me to enjoy. It is over the top and as such, not really funny. I am not sure that i will finish it. Sigh, I'm looking for that great read.

Fun read, left me with a warm feeling.

Reminds me of Lady Sparrow, but finding illegitimate wives instead of illegitimate offspring. And the monkey? Which other Metzger book had a monkey?
